Module A - Locating and Incorporating Electronic Resources

Aim

The aim of this module is to identify the issues which need to be considered when locating, selecting and integrating online resources within teaching resources. On completion of this module, participants will produce learning scenarios which enhance the student learning experience and support innovative teaching of the curriculum.

 Objectives

By the end of this module you should be aware of how to;

  • Find resources using search engines and educational portals.
  • Critically evaluate the resources for use within a learning environment.
  • Integrate electronic resources into lessons taking account of the different learning styles of your learners. 
  •  Source resources to suit a range of teaching strategies such as:
    • Lectures
    • Research.
    • Stimulus.
    • Group discussion.
    • Demonstration.
  • Recognise the importance of structure and style in creating a meaningful learning experience.

And lastly to understand

  • The legal considerations of using electronic content.
  • How to assess the student learning experience.
